Intimate Wedding Ceremony at the Senate Rose Gardens.

Wedding Ceremony at the Senate Rose Gardens, Canberra

Sam & Natasha had the lovely idea of having a small intimate ceremony in the capital. Whilst most couples go for the traditional route for their wedding day, Sam & Natasha decided to not worry about having a traditional, big wedding but to focus on what mattered most to them which was their family. So of course, they invited their nearest and dearest with Sam’s parents coming down from all the way in the UK to their ceremony followed by a small dinner later that night.

Officiated by the lovely Jodie, the ceremony was held in the Senate Rose Gardens at the old Parliament House in Canberra which is famous for their florals, especially the Wisteria. We situated ourselves underneath some archways which made the perfect setting for the day and one that will be unforgetable. As a wedding photographer who has witness many types of weddings around Australia, I often get asked by couples for their suggestions on how they should structure their wedding day. I always say that your wedding day doesn’t have to follow the traditional route, it can be anything you want it to be because it is your day. Focus on what matters the most to you and your partner and lean into it!
