Brian & Vi-Vien were looking for exactly that and with a short 3 hour drive from Canberra, Mayfield Garden was the perfect place for their session.
Mayfield is privately owned and one of the largest gardens in Australia spanning 1.5kms from the entrance to the end of the garden. From formal gardens to hidden groves, lakes, waterfalls, and the famous Hedge Maze, it's a paradise for couples who love nature, elegance, and a touch of adventure however, consider these tips before traveling to Mayfield.
Plan in Advance: Mayfield Garden is open seasonally and gets busy year round. Plan your spots and expect to pay an entrance fee!
Go Early or Midweek: For quieter periods, consider going on a weekday and consider the season. Autumn and Spring are very popular due to the colours of the gardens.
Wear Comfortable Shoes: We walked a minimum of 10000 steps and we only managed to visit a few areas of the garden. Expect a lot of time on your feet!
Make a Day of It: After your session, enjoy a picnic or visit the on-site café. Mayfield Garden is worth exploring beyond just your shoot.
